City of Belleview, Florida, as now
established, shall continue to be a
municipal body politic and corporate in
perpetuity under the name “City of
Belleview” and, under that name, shall have
all governmental, corporate, and proprietary
powers to enable it to conduct municipal
government, perform municipal functions and
render municipal services, and may exercise
any power for municipal purposes except as
otherwise provided by law.
The City of Belleview’s corporate limits
shall be as presently established or as
hereafter changed pursuant to state law.
The jurisdiction and powers of the city
shall extend over all lands and waters
within the corporate limits, and in the air
above the same; and to and over all persons,
firms and corporations, property and
property rights, occupations, businesses and
professions whatsoever, within such
boundaries; and over all property owned,
leased or operated by the city outside the
corporate limits. The title to and
jurisdiction over all property of the city
now owned, possessed or operated by it, and
all property of every kind and character
which the city may hereafter acquire within
or outside the city, or which may vest in
it, or be dedicated to it, for its use or
for the public use, shall be vested in the
city.
