Florida Statutes mandate that all units of local government prepare, adopt and execute an annual budget.  During the budget process both revenues and expenditures are studied in detail.  Revenue projections are derived from estimates from state and county agencies, talks with area businesses and past experiences. Expenditures are based upon calculated needs and upcoming projects.  The goal for the City of Belleview is to operate on a “balanced budget” system whereas incoming revenues equal actual expenses each fiscal year.  The fiscal year for the City of Belleview is October 1 through September 30 of each year.
