GENERAL FACTS AND INFORMATION
The City of Belleview,
located in the southern end of Marion
County, was incorporated as a City in 1885.
Although Belleview is less than two square
miles in size, it is located in the hub of
growth with the City of Ocala to the north
and The Villages to the south. Belleview
has six main roadways and highways that run
through it. Highways 441/301/27 run north
and south together through the center of
town, Highway 484 runs west toward Interstate I-75, County
Road 25 runs east
toward Ocklawaha and Baseline Road (County
Road 35) runs north and south on the east
side of town.
The population of Belleview,
as of the last census dated April 2005, was
3783
citizens. The community
continues to grow as
new residential subdivisions are developed.
Including the City of
Belleview, there are five incorporated
cities within Marion County. Each city has
its own charm, history, and lifestyle.
