Anytime you
have an emergency requiring Law Enforcement,
Fire Fighters or Paramedics to respond.
When you dial
911, the telecommunicator who answers the
phone will ask you a series of questions
including the location of the emergency, the
telephone number you are calling from and
the type of emergency. There will then be a
series of questions that are specific to the
type of emergency you are experiencing. It
is very important that you answer these
questions so that help can be sent for a
successful resolution to your emergency.
The City of
Belleview is part of the Marion County 911
group and has full enhanced 911 services.
This means that when you dial 9-1-1, the telecommunicator receives a screen with the
address and telephone number that the call
is coming from. However, you will still be
asked for this information for verification
purposes.
