When To Dial 911

Anytime you have an emergency requiring Law Enforcement, Fire Fighters or Paramedics to respond.

When you dial 911, the telecommunicator who answers the phone will ask you a series of questions including the location of the emergency, the telephone number you are calling from and the type of emergency.  There will then be a series of questions that are specific to the type of emergency you are experiencing.  It is very important that you answer these questions so that help can be sent for a successful resolution to your emergency.

The City of Belleview is part of the Marion County 911 group and has full enhanced 911 services.  This means that when you dial 9-1-1, the telecommunicator receives a screen with the address and telephone number that the call is coming from.  However, you will still be asked for this information for verification purposes.
