Public
Works Department
Director
The Public Works Director oversees all of
the administrative and field operations
pertaining to water and sewer distribution,
sewer plant operations, roads and streets,
right of ways, water retention areas, parks,
and the City cemetery. The Public Works
Director also oversees construction projects
pertaining to these areas, from the initial
design and development phase to project
completion. Another area of responsibility
is to meet with prospective developers
regarding future developments and their
adherence to City design specifications.
The Public Works Director has developed and
is responsible for the mapping system for
the City including extensive maps of the
City streets, water and sewer distribution
system, fire hydrants, water retention
areas, easements and the City Zoning map.
The Public Works Director attends all
regular meetings of the Belleview City
Commission as well as special and workshop
meetings pertaining to areas that he is
responsible for. The current Public Works
Director was appointed in February 1988.
