Currently
there are 24.64 miles of streets and 20
drainage retention areas within the City.
The Street Department’s
responsibilities include maintenance of all
streets, street right-of-ways, repair and/or
replacement of curbs and sidewalks, tree
trimming, storm water drainage, catch basin
maintenance, ditch and culvert repair as
well as over seeing the collection of solid
waste. The City is continually striving to
improve its streets through our annual
paving program. This annual paving project
is funded with monies provided by gasoline
taxes. The City utilizes a 5
year plan to determine the order that
streets are upgraded. This plan is revised
every year.
