What is an abandoned or derelict vehicle?
An abandoned/derelict vehicle is one that does not display a current license tag or is unserviceable - not equipped with all parts required to legally and safely operate on public streets. These vehicles cannot be stored upon any street or upon any property except in a fully enclosed, legally constructed building or within an enclosed rear yard with a minimum six feet high privacy fence and covered with a professional vehicle cover that is in good repair.
