[ARCHIVED] City of Belleview Announces Election Qualifying Period.

The City of Belleview's election qualifying period will begin on Monday, August 22 at noon and end on August 25 at 4 pm. 

 

The City of Belleview Commission Seats up for election in 2022 include Commission Seats 1, 2, and 3. 

 

Belleview City Commission seats 1 and 3 are for a four-year term ending in 2026. Due to Commission Seat 2 being vacated earlier this year and filled by appointment, Seat 2 will finish the original term in 2024.

 

Election packets are available at City Hall, Monday – Thursday, 8 am to 5 pm, and can be viewed online at https://www.belleviewfl.org/206/Election-Voter-Resources

The current City of Belleview Commission is Seat 1, Michael Goldman; Seat 2, Ray Dwyer; Seat 3, Ronald Livsey; Seat 4, Robert "Bo" Smith; and Mayor, Christine Dobkowski.

 

The Commission, which includes the Mayor, is responsible for determining the types and levels of services to be provided as well as enacting laws, regulations, and policies that govern the City and its activities. The Commission oversees the City's general operation by approving the annual budget and subsequent amendments, all inter-local, development, franchise, miscellaneous agreements and all land use and zoning changes. In addition to appointing the City Administrator and the City Clerk, the Commission also appoints members to various citizen boards and committees.
