Site plans are required by the City when new construction is planned or when an existing property plans to initiate change of use, change of coverage, or internal/external alternations. Site plans are reviewed by the Site Plan Review Committee.
The purpose of the Site Plan Review Committee is to review site plans for specific types of development to ensure compliance with all appropriate land development regulations (LDRs) and consistency with the Comprehensive Plan. The Site Plan Review Committee duties include the review of site plans, site development, and pre-application meetings to mention a few.
Site Plan Review Applicants
Applicants are encouraged to attend pre-application meetings during this time before submitting basic or full site plans, in an effort to alleviate any questions and to assist applicants with the requirements of the application process. These meetings are free and open to the public.
